Small Business Saturday

Join us in our downtown event as we partner with American Express as a neighborhood champion and create an incentive to have citizens shop and eat local in downtown Bowie.

We encourage you to celebrate the annual national campaign Small Business Saturday on the Saturday after Thanksgiving!

On November 28, 2015, “shift your shopping” to downtown Bowie's locally-owned businesses. Shopping at local businesses has positive impacts on our local economy and community:

  • More jobs and opportunity: Not only do independent businesses employ more people per dollar of revenue, they use local printers, accountants, media, farms, attorneys, artists, and others, expanding opportunities for local entrepreneurs!
  • Economic vitality: Each dollar you spend at an independent business returns an average of 3 times more money to your community than spending at a chain!
  • Build community: The casual encounter you enjoy at local businesses and the public spaces around them nurture relationships and community cohesiveness.

This Small Business Saturday...

Show your love and #shopsmall and #eatlocal  Saturday November 28th in Downtown Bowie. We will be set-up on Mason & Tarrant St. at 10am passing out downtown Coupon Books containing various specials, discounts, and promos. For every purchase that day, including food, swing back by and show us your receipt and be entered into a drawing to win a FREE 32 inch TV donated by our friends at The Rack. We will also have FREE Coffee & Hot Chocolate available to keep you warm while you shop. Help our local economy by shopping small and eating locall!!!
